31 for 21: Day 28, Courage.

You are afraid and yet you still want to go inside.
You want me to hold your hand,
but I say,  "You can do it."
It's OK to be afraid.
Maybe I am also afraid.
Then you run around the house,
and make a game out of it.
Courage comes in many forms.
You always show me that.

31 for 21: Day 3, Bubbles and Chalk.

Bubbles and chalk, these are the things I love.
I can draw circle and lines.
I take out all the chalk from the box and try every color.
One at a time.
I don't eat chalk anymore, well, only once in a while.
Then Mama says, clean up and I pick up the chalk and sign,
"All done."

31 for 21: Day 2, Hold my hand.

Hold my hand, Let's walk together.
This is what I've been waiting for...
To hold your hand and see you walk beside me.
On the sidewalk we are hand in hand.
Just like other moms and daughters.
Even if just for a moment.

wordless wednesday: Maya is growing!

We are having such a busy summer I haven't been able to write very much lately.  Thought I'd post this quick wordless wednesday shot, not very wordless since I'm writing this, but oh well.  I'm in the middle of writing a long needed update and will post that soon.  Until then, enjoy this snap I took of Maya at the hardware store on fourth of July.  When I saw this photo I just thought she looked so tall.   She's growing right before my eyes.

I hope everyone is having a fabulous summer!  Take care!
